I have used the Otterbox Defender for over a month now and have found all the above are true. All iPhone buttons and connectors match perfectly with the case provided coverings. The feel when holding it is solid with some ridges that make it hard to fumble. The Touch screen cover fits perfectly over the view area. I did find it necessary to clean both the iPhone screen and the included Defender screen prior to placing the iPhone in the case. If not, you will have some smears/finger marks between them that makes for a dark, messy view screen. There is that occasional time that I need to tap more than once to get a response from the phone. The protection is well worth the occasional extra poke.
The Defender includes a Belt clip holster for the phone. It seems to be pretty solid and clicks over a belt easily but I worry about the possibility of the phone popping out of the holster. I know it is protected but I worry. So I carry the iPhone in my pocket safely surround by the case. I have yet to scratch the protective screen.
