Behold by Samsung (SGH-t919) for T-Mobile Gotta Love It!
I really like the Samsung Behold with 3G service from T-Mobile. I am a sucker for a big touch screen with all sorts of functions available by just pressing an icon or flicking a finger to show or hide more applications. The full touch screen makes room for a sizable horizontal QWERTY keyboard. Texting is a snap using this keyboard so forget the other telephone like text and numerical keyboard. Setting up e-mail is a cakewalk as the phone has a list of 13 different e-mail service providers to choose from. Unfortunately my primary service is not one of them. However, Yahoo is listed so that was allowed me to use that service on the phone. I was able to reach non-listed email services through webmail on the internet browser.

There are 3 buttons below the screen. Send, Back, and Power on/off (EXIT.) I wish I had read the manual earlier as I kept hitting the Exit button and therefore was taken out of whatever task I was performing instead of just moving back one step.
The 5 Mega Pixel phone camera with flash and auto focus gives very good photo results. Even fair night shots with flash when up close. There is a zoom but I cannot locate any specs for it. Video is not bad either. Note the awkward placement of the MicroSD card holder inside the back of the Behold and under the battery. Go to my Flickr site for camera samples.
A row of icons for many functions (Called Widgets) is found on the left side of the screen. Touching an icon opens that application for use. Pressing on the tab next to the icons can hide them all. Pressing the tab again brings them all back into view. Flicking the list from bottom to top shows the ones below the screen. There is even an icon for tips about the Behold. Each touch of the screen gives you visible feedback. Dragging an icon to the center of the screen gives you access to that function or opens a function that remains on the screen until you flick it back to the left side. A calendar for the current month, The Music Player module, Today’s Date, or the Alarm Clock. To see actual demos of the Behold screen CLICK HERE.
The Music player is looks minimal but gives all the basic functions as well as pretty good sound through the included earbud/phone answering headset. NOTE: This accessory has a proprietary connection so your favorite headphones cannot be used with the Behold unless they are Bluetooth capable.
Clicking the menu icon at the lower right brings up even more functions.
Internet browsing gives a full browser experience that is readable.
TelNav GPS Navigation System. 14 day free trial set up. This worked fine when I had a good line of site to the sky.
USB File Movement The instructions said to connect the included USB cable between the phone and PC to copy music/photos/video to or from the MicroSD card. Photos and music worked very well. Videos that played well in the phone had an issue when clicked to play on the PC. I received a message “Error-2041: In invalid sample description was found in the movie Video0002.mp4.” I searched for a solution and was told to change the file extension from MP4 to 3GP. That worked for me. It is also possible to remove the memory card from the phone and copy files directly to it. This may not work for all music files due to copyright issues.

The Samsung Behold for T-Mobile is a great touch phone at a reasonable price point when you factor in the discount and the rebate. It has many of the functions included in smartphones but not all of them. I could not help smiling when I used it.
