SAMSUNG SL202
10.2 megapixel digital camera
 I tested the Samsung SL202 for about a month. First I want to mention the Intelligent 2.7” TTF LCD view screen is the sharpest and clearest I have ever seen on a Digital Camera in this price range. The items include in the box provided the broadest range of accessories I have experienced. The camera itself was a little thicker than many recent ones from other companies but the features were well worth the added bulk. The camera measured 3.5'' x 2.22'' x 0.85''and weighed in at a quarter of a pound. The brushed metal finished case felt sturdy and well made. Overall it was easy to work with. The list price of $149.99 with discounts as low as $129.00 is very reasonable. Let’s take a look.

- What I liked the most
- The extended range of features easily accessed by first time digital camera users.
- Samsung’s Smart Album program and Smart Auto module.
- The mode dial at the top right of the camera where many of the options were readily available with just the turn of a knob.
- The ability to pause/resume video production in movie mode so a number of scenes can appear to be one continuous story.
- The videos are really clear and viewable at almost any size.

New users of digital cameras will find it easiest to set a new camera up once and then just leave it as is. Shooting in that mode most of time. They will gain confidence and see shortcomings in their results. At that point they will want to fine tune a little. This is where easy access to functions makes the Samsung SL202 a standout over a number of other offerings. The Samsung SL202 is a fun ride.
